First of all, I came to Korea based on about five or six factors.
- I wanted to learn about an Asian country
- I didn't know anything about Korea
- I'm a Christian and there are many churches here so I could find a place to worship
- I knew some people here already
- I wanted to learn a new language and Korea's writing system was the easiest to learn
- The benefits and pay of teaching English here were the best
- I had met some Koreans in Canada
How long will I stay in Korea?
I have a standard answer for that. As long as it takes. "As long as it takes to what?" you might ask. As long as it takes to feel like I'm done living here. Right now my best friend lives here, and Korea is my second home. I want to stay here for a long time. Maybe even get married (I hope to a Korean girl :D).
